Source first
We begin with the original paper, preprint, institutional statement or public dataset. The source remains visible next to every STKEY summary.
About · Editorial method
STKEY is an independent portal for genetics, genomics and biotechnology news. We make significant research easier to find without removing the evidence, uncertainty or authorship behind it.
Our standard
We begin with the original paper, preprint, institutional statement or public dataset. The source remains visible next to every STKEY summary.
We separate observation from interpretation, identify the study design and explain meaningful limitations instead of presenting a result as a certainty.
STKEY summaries identify the authors, publisher, publication date and link to the complete original work. We do not present a summary as the original article.
If a material error is found, we correct the page, record the update date and explain what changed. Readers can contact the editorial desk about factual issues.
What we publish
We cover genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, biotechnology and the social choices around them. A STKEY article may be a concise research brief, a review of a developing area or a reported news item linked to the original publication.
We do not reproduce paywalled articles in full. When we summarize or quote, we keep the use limited, identify the source and link readers to the publisher. Authors and publishers retain their rights.
STKEY is an editorial and educational publication. It is not a journal, clinical laboratory or substitute for medical advice. Research findings should not be used to diagnose, treat or make an individual health decision.
Review & contact
Before publication, pieces are checked for source accuracy, attribution, clarity and unsupported claims. Where a topic is medically sensitive, we use additional caution and state what the evidence cannot establish.

STKEY is operated by Jackson Diogo Carlota Rocha in Paraná, Brazil. Editorial content is updated as evidence and source records change.
