Graphic violence or targeted abuse may remain behind a phrase, outside the Stream and without advertising.

Ambiguous threats, suspected scams and exposed personal data are hidden while a human checks the context.

Credible threats, exploitation of minors, violent-extremist recruitment and instructions for serious harm are not permitted.

How protection works

Several quiet layers.

Every public Wisp and Echo is screened before publication. Key-only Wisps receive the same protection for severe harm while ordinary sensitive writing remains private.

Screening covers credible violence, incitement, serious-harm instructions, violent extremism, exploitation of minors and—when content is public—likely scams, exposed personal data and targeted abuse. Automated screening can make mistakes, so hidden content receives a review reference and an appeal path.

Exclusive Wisps use the Keeper key for both opening and editing. In Editable mode, the first key opens the Wisp and the Keeper key edits it. Neither key is stored in readable form, and every rewritten original passes through the same safety screening.

Threat, terrorism and sexual-exploitation reports hide content immediately. Possible personal-data exposure is also hidden immediately; other reports use severity and independent-report thresholds.

Resolved safety records and inactive abuse signals are normally removed after 180 days. Open or appealed cases may remain until resolution.
